SoHy Co-op Yard Sign Thanking Essential Workers
By SoHy Co-op’s Krissi Humbard
During this pandemic, SoHy Co-op has worked to help businesses stay afloat while our day-to-day life has been uprooted. Now, we are switching gears a bit to focus on our Hyattsville residents in need.
Say THANK YOU to our essential workers, give back to the community AND put some lovely art in your yard!
We heard repeatedly from our members that they wanted to give back to the community, despite dealing with their own hardships. Locals love a yard sign, so the SoHy Co-op collaborated with local artist Clara Cornelius and asked her to create a one-of-a-kind “Thank You Essential Workers” sign for your yards and windows!
“When the SoHy Co-op reached out and asked me to create a yard sign thanking essential workers, I jumped at the opportunity,” Cornelius said. “Any chance to express gratitude, especially now, is so important. This sign was designed as a lush profusion of native Maryland flora, a celebration of life and praise woven together. A tiny garden of thanks.”
The proceeds from the sale of these beautifully designed signs will be donated back to Hyattsville residents and business owners with the greatest need via the Hyattsville COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Fund.
If you would like to support this effort, please go online to sohycoop.com and order yours today! Signs cost $25 and include delivery.
