Riverdale Park Farmers Market
One of my fave farmers markets! Get your fresh and local produce right here! Live music, too! We love strolling around the Riverdale Park Farmers Market, buying some fresh, local produce, grabbing a bite from one of the vendors, absorbing some tunes while the kids frolic around and then we all head to Town Center Market to enjoy a tasty beer or 5 outside.

Workshop – Concrete Serving Tray
Learn to build a concrete serving tray. Join our demonstration workshop and watch as our Associate shows you how to measure and cut wood and mix concrete to create a durable serving tray with attached handles. In addition, our Associate will also demonstrate the safe use of common project tools including a circular saw, drill and sanding block. At the end of the demonstration, Store Associates can help you shop for everything you need to create your own project at home. When: 6:30-8pm

Eat some good Mediterranean food, support a local Mt. Rainier restaurant and enjoy some fjazzy vibes by Superior Cling at Live Music Thursdays! Always a fun time and can attest that their falafels (ask for the “special sauce”) & dolmadas will make you return for more!

Yoga in the Parks

Music Relaxation Boat Tour Along the Anacostia River
Enjoy specialized pontoon boat rides down the scenic Anacostia River. Feel your cares melt away as you enjoy the tranquility of a sunset boat tour down the Anacostia River, accompanied by relaxing live music. You may bring your own refreshments to enjoy onboard. Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Opening Reception: Material-Object-Form
Attaching meaning to the things around us among the most fundamental aspects of what it means to be human. We value many things not for what they are, but for where they came from, who gave them to us, or what they help us remember. This exhibit explores the ways that artists use these relationships to develop the content of their artwork.

Summer Saturdays Film Series – Hermanas en Ruedas by Amberly Alene Ellis
Each Summer Saturday Film Screening will include an outdoor screening of a film created by a local filmmaker and a Q & A segment. Hermanas ventures into a country in the midst of major socio-political change to continue conversations around gender, sexuality and autonomy. Through the underground skate scene, the film questions the future of Cuban subcultures and technology amidst a backdrop of international exchanges and a drastic shift in US and Cuba relations.

Eileen Bernstein “No Place But Up” CD Release
Come celebrate with award winning indie singer-songwriter Eileen Bernstein on her release tour. Eileen takes you up and down the peaks and valleys of life with “songs [that] make you want to tap your toes, along with touching melodies that grip your heart with their expressive lyrics,” – Baltimore Jewish Times. The musical influences on her latest album are as wide ranging as Katy Perry, Evanescence, Emerson Drive, Miranda Lambert, and Alanis Morissette.

While there, let your ears soak up some Transatlantic Crossing and their fiddle-n tunes (think “toe-tapping Irish and Scottish jigs and reels!”) When done shopping, head to the New Deal Cafe for some nosh and/or a coffee by Vigilante!

Father’s Day Beer Tasting & Tours at Riversdale
Celebrate dad, grandpa, or another special gentleman with a free guided tour of Riversdale. As an extra special treat, beer lovers can visit the tasting station, where a variety of brews will be available for sampling. Free tours are limited to one free tour with each paid admission. First-come, first served.
