PGCMLS’ Curbside Pickup is Back!

Yahoo! PGCMLS has resumed its curbside pickup service! Having access to new (and new-to-us) books has been a Godsend during these COVID-times. While the library’s digital books have remained accessible, there really is nothing like curling up with and turning the pages of an actual book.

Free Family Theatre at DC’s National Theatre

Hopping on the Metro with the kids and heading in to explore DC is one of the great benefits to living along the Route 1 Corridor. We recently did just so on a quest to check out “Saturday Morning at the National,” a live theatre series of free and interactive family programs at the National Theatre. Another great, indoor fun option for Route 1 Kids – with The Nutcracker coming up on Saturday, December 14th and ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas on Saturday, December 21st.

Watkins Nature Center: Free, Indoor Fun

Searching for fun, free indoor spaces to explore with the kids during the colder fall and winter temps (or maybe just over Thanksgiving weekend? Then check out the Watkins Nature Center in Upper Marlboro! The Center is full of hands-on exhibits and live animal displays – perfectly sized for pint-sized preschoolers and older kids.
