Expose the kids to the power of nature through discussions and up close encounters with birds of prey. This is a drop-in program = no registration required. We’ve done this before and consider it a cool opp to see a huge owl up closed and then head outside to explore the Patuxent Research Refuge. Pack a picnic! Thanksgiving Glitterfest (All Ages)
A one-day workshop for young artists and families to decorate sparkling centerpieces with glitter for their Thanksgiving table. Families are encouraged to bring their own items to decorate, but can also choose from a limited selection of free centerpiece items at the workshop.
When: 2-4pm

Heroes Bowl VII
Head to this fun football game where the Hyattsville Police Officers will face off against the Volunteer Fire Department! We went last year and had a fun time. Great way to be with and to support our local community. Bring your own seating and, if can, a new, unwrapped toy to donate for the Sonny Frazier Toy Drive, benefiting children in our community who would otherwise not receive gifts at the holidays.
