One of my fave farmers markets! Get your fresh and local produce right here! Live music, too! We love strolling around the Riverdale Park Farmers Market, buying some fresh, local produce, grabbing a bite from one of the vendors, absorbing some tunes while the kids frolic around and then we all head to Town Center Market to enjoy a tasty beer or 5 outside.

Dance Dance Party Party!

Georgia-based Printmaker Chadwick Tolley exhibits a series of embellished prints that employ appropriated cultural symbols to construct new, unfiltered political narratives in striking visual collage.

Puerto Rico Relief
Hurricane Maria has left millions in Puerto Rico to face enormous challenges, but we will not let them face those challenges alone. Hyattsville’s Mayor Candace Hollingsworth asks that you join us to stuff a van with supplies to send to Puerto Rico. See list of requested supplies here.

Road Ride 🚲
Join Proteus for a ride down the trails to DC. Expect about 36 miles mostly flat with some food (perhaps ice cream)! Bring cash/cc, lock, water, helmet. Expect a pace of 12-15 mph.

Movin’ with the Mayor: Capoeira w/ Espaco Cultural Samba Travao 
Join the mayor for a fun Brazilian martial arts dance form called Capoeira. Comfortable workout attire should be worn. This class will be held during the church’s 8 Annual Community Multicultural Health and Wellness Fair. Come out and enjoy all of the festivities.

Here to Stay – The Music of the Greenbelt Pioneers
When the first families moved into Greenbelt on September 30, 1937, American Big Band music was at its peak. It on the airwaves, and songs by Gershwin, Ellington and other songwriting titans helped to keep Greenbelters’ toes tapping and hearts singing in their new town. Hyattsville Cyclocross Bike Race 2017 
We love checking out this annual off-road bike race through Magruder Park. We have fun watching the bikes whizz/whirr (?) by us and enjoy checking out all the fancy bikes + bike gear. Also check out the food/drinks being sold by Timber Pizza, Shortcake Bakery, Acme Pie Company, Franklins, Streetcar 82 & more! Tip: If you plan on buying food/drinks, aim to arrive early to mid-day as sometimes things run out!

Greenbelt Farmers Market
Check out this cool & big farmers market offering produce, pasture-raised meats, sustainable seafood, soaps, crepes, ice cream, breads and baked goods, goat cheese & more! While there, let your ears soak up some Transatlantic Crossing and their fiddle-n tunes (think “toe-tapping Irish and Scottish jigs and reels!”) When done shopping, head to the New Deal Cafe for some nosh and/or a coffee by Vigilante!
